I'm an artist, educator, and advocate

Building relationships is a core part of who I am. I believe that by connecting to people, we open ourselves to new experiences and possibilities.

An artist since childhood

My uncle introduced me to art before I was able to write. I sat in his lap and watched him create beautiful illustrations, which lead to him holding my hand to help trace my favorite characters.

I struggled to identify as an artist for many years; I haunted myself with the idea that I must achieve excellence before I could be an artist. Being an artist has taught me to value the process, to go through many scrappy drafts, and most importantly, to be kind and patience when all seems to go awry.

I'm currently focused on printmaking and film photography.

Community through research

My undergraduate studies were focused on the effects of educational policy on students and community. My efforts culminated in a thesis discussing the formation of identity socialized through work and leisure.

In order to create direct and meaningful impact, I regularly interviewed and surveyed the communities I was serving. The anecdotes and data I collected supported my proposals which shaped budgets, enabled programming, and addressed policies. I continue similar community building measures through involvement in Vassar alumnae chapters.

Advocacy for user experience

I fell in love with user experience when I realized I could support others with my creativity. Working within education, I have spent many hours building relationships, organizing data, and presenting solutions. These skills have transferred to helping me create delightful interfaces as a UX Designer.

In 2020, I transitioned into UX design through Springboard's career track. In 2021, I joined KBRA, leading UX on 2 product teams and helping mature the organization's design maturity. After being impacted by company restructuring, I have been freelancing since late 2023.

I moved to San Francisco in 2024 and am open to new opportunities. If you have any recommendations or want to connect, please reach out!
